All six developers appear to employ their users' chat data to train and improve their models by default, and some retain this data indefinitely.
By default, Anthropic employees cannot access your conversations unless you explicitly consent to share your data with us as a part of giving us feedback or Review is needed to enforce our Usage Policy. In such cases, your conversation data is protected through strict access controls. Only designated members of our Trust & Safety team may access this data on a need-to-know basis as a part of their evaluation process.
We use a combination of automated technologies and human review to monitor activity on our services, in line with our Privacy Policy.
A subset of chats are reviewed by human reviewers (including Google's trained service providers) to help improve Google services. These include Gemini models, other generative AI models that power Gemini Apps, and technologies that help reduce unintended activations.
We retain your personal information where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so. In certain circumstances, we will retain your information for legal reasons after our contractual relationship has ended. The specific retention periods depend on the nature of the information and why it is collected and processed and the nature of the legal requirement.

Can Norton read my conversations with Neo’s AI?
No. By default, your chats stay on your device, and Norton cannot read them. If you want to sync chats between devices, you can turn that on. We then keep an encrypted copy on our servers. Sync is optional.
Does Neo use my chats to train itself?
No. Neo holds a written no-training agreement with every provider it uses. Your chats are not used to train models.
Can they trace where my questions came from?
Neo sends your question on your behalf without passing along identifying details such as your IP address, location, or device information. The provider receives the question without a trail back to you.
Where do my chats live? And can I delete them?
On your device, in the browser, and you can clear it whenever you want. Clearing it is the end of it: there is no second copy on our servers being kept for thirty days, or three years, or until somebody asks for it.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. No account is needed, and it's free.
Is a private window the same as a private chat?
No. Private or incognito mode mainly limits what stays on your device after you close the window: browsing history, cookies, and site data from that session. It does not stop an AI service from storing your chats on its servers or linking them to your account if you are signed in.
Is Neo Chat free, and is there a usage limit?
